Ultraviolet was borne out of necessity.

Shopping for unusual or alternative clothing was becoming a chore. It usually involved traveling to several shops in different towns just to get hold of a black skirt, unusual pair of boots, or just something a bit different from what the High Street has to offer. As a result of being frustrated with the need to trudge and trawl, husband and wife partnership, Sam and Bob, launched the Ultraviolet Alternative Boutique.
Offering a wide selection of alternative clothing, from big names like Iron Fist and Criminal Damage to small, local independent clothing companies, Ultraviolet has it all. Friendly service and good gossip can also be found in store. Ultraviolet has fast become a meeting place for members of the Alternative scene. Attracting young and old, pierced and non-pierced, creatives, funky teens and older, wiser folk; Ultraviolet is usually buzzing with friendly banter and tales from the tattooists chair! (In fact, if you have any tattoos, you are obliged to show them off in the boutique!)

Gothic Emporium?

Ultraviolet is constantly evolving. With the support of it's regular shoppers and their suggestions and input, UV is set to move off in many directions.

Here is what is planned . . .

• Now stocking items from Limb Clothing. Corsets and dresses in rare and unusual vintage prints.
  
• Body Modification Studio now open. Offering most regular piercing & procedures but a few unusual ones too.
  
• Comic books (Manga, Marvel, Top Cow, DC), BEGoth dolls, Teddy Scares, TNBChristmas merchandise will be available later in the year.
  
• Stargazer cosmetics and hair products.
• The Gothic clothing range will expand to include more Victorian clothing for ladies and gents, along with hats, canes and jewellery.
